【訪肆偶得】Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut

今天早上去了一趟好市多，大家都在推薦的E&E Black Pepper Shiraz 2002就不容小弟再贅言。除了這款百大名酒之外，小弟又發現另一款令人驚喜的百大酒款。

Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves 是由西班牙大廠Frexixenet所投資經營，是一家以氣泡酒起家的酒廠，近年來Chardonnay和Pinot Noir也做得有聲有色。Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut在好市多的售價560元有找，這支酒的美國原廠建議售價為美金18元，實際售價則在13-23元之間，歷年來在WS的分數都在88分上下，曾經獲得過的2004的WS百大第97名，這種酒款很適合時而炎熱的春天飲用。

This brut exhibits a lively, yet delicate pear-like bouquet that sets it apart from other sparkling wines. The fresh fruit flavours are backed by a subtle and developing toastiness. In sipping the wine, the effervescence gives way to a creamy roundness, classic in a predominantly Pinot Noir blend. Sonoma Brut was the winery’s maiden wine first released in 1985.
Best served at a temperature of 6-9º C.

1998-88
Toast and citrus aromas and flavors weave a pretty patchwork. Light and elegant, offering a fresh, fruity finish redolent of apples and pears. Drink now through 2001. 30,000 cases made.

2000-88
Elegant even delicate, with pretty black cherry, plum and floral notes that are rich and complex. Drink now through 2004. 40,000 cases made. (JL)

Round, with creamy vanilla, apple, pear, citrus and quince flavors, turning smooth and elegant. Drink now through 2006. 65,000 cases made. (JL)

2002-88
Crisp, focused and concentrated, with a bright beam of tangy lemon and tart green apple intensity that extends through the finish. Drink now through 2006. 38,000 cases made. (JL)

2003-87
Yeasty, doughy aromas lead to ripe creamy pear, vanilla and fig flavors, picking up a rich earth- and vanilla-scented core of flavors. Drink now through 2008. 65,000 cases made. (JL)

2004-90
Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut -- Rated 90
An exceptional value. Round and full-bodied, with rich, ripe apple, pear and honeydew melon flavors. This complex sparkler has a nice touch of yeast and doughy aromas that give it added flavor, turning creamy with a touch of vanilla. Drink now through 2009.(WS)
