The third time entering the Yosemite National Park

一大早我們又來到優勝美提國家公園。這是我們第三次來到這個公園，感覺非常親切。在毫不費力的情況下我們終於由客停車場裡找到遊客中心。這個遊客中心小到幾乎被四周的汽車淹沒，難怪前兩回我們都找不到。在這裡我們被指引到更正式的遊客中心，也是從這裡我們開始了我們的導覽公車之旅。我們即將搭上所謂的可及性公車，心中既期待又怕受傷害。
Ladybug with seven spots decides not to come with us this time. This is the third time to enter the Yosemite National Park. We directly go the visitor center without any lost. One lady at the center guarantees me all shuttles in the park are accessible to the wheelchair users. I couldn’t believed it at the first, but when I get on the first shuttle I understand why. We follow the direction given by the lady from the center, from the visitor parking lot, the Yosemite National Park center, take shuttle bus to the Yosemite Visitor Center, then walk to bus stop 6 to watch Upper Yosemite Fall and Lower Yosemite Fall, and take the trail to bus stop 11 to take shuttle bus again to the Mirror Lake Trailhead, finally take the shuttle again back to the visitor parking lot.

我非常感慨，在台灣，國家公園的遊客中心建築物蓋得非常壯觀，但是使用輪椅的遊客卻只能到達停車場，雪霸國家公園的武陵遊憩區遊客中心是如此，汶水遊客中心也是如此。在台灣有趣的建築設計似乎永遠與友善為敵，永遠無法與景觀和諧相處。在優勝美提國家公園裡的建築物幾乎都謙虛地令人感覺不到它的存在，與景觀融入的程度令人佩服。我跟我的輪椅一直在找會拒絕我們的角落或空間，可是我們都失望。
This is a formal visitor center at a national park. I want to know why the same situation in Taiwan, a wheelchair user without any help can only reaches parking lot. At the Yosemite Visitor Center, I take my wheelchair from the shuttle stop to the center, enter the building, go around inside the building, then outside the building into the Indian Village. Hey, no problem. If you think this is a poor design or a dull design, then you are wrong.

Enter the building, you can find information counter, gift shop, and museum. At the information counter, I get the direction to start my day of the trip.
At the main entrance of every major building, you can always find a device to press to operate door.

The back door of the museum connecting the Indian Village, it is an outdoor exhibition. From here, I follow a trail to learn about American History. But I pay more attention on the interpretive system design, especially those designs for vision impaired people. But I can’t find any Braille on the system.
