昨天在 Calgary 看房子的時候
我一直在想:

做什麼會是我的 big break through?
accomplishing what personal goal will really make me say,

”YEAH, I’M PROUD TO HAVE DONE THAT!”


Achieving $500,000 in personal net worth?

Buying my SLK 55 AMG?

Going to a prestigious MBA School?


嗯, sure enough, 如果能去全美前十名的 MBA School,
那一定是個 accomplishment

I have no doubt about that


如果買一間我們的 dream house 呢?
買到我們一直所夢想的, 海岸線旁的樓中樓呢?

嗯, 那也一定是個 personal accomplishment
我也不懷疑


但是
對於現在的我
如果沒有好學校進, 如果買 dream house 不是 immediate priority

什麼是我現在最想要 accomplish 的目標呢?


Well, 昨天在 Calgary 藍天綠野邊思考的我
終於得到了一個想法


如果我買到自己的第一棟 commercial property,
我就 consider 它為我人生中第一個 break through

讓我 clarify 一下:

I’m looking for a building of commercial housing
specifically, a building that houses at least 10 households

It doesn’t need to be an extravagant purchase,
it doesn’t even need to be in a metropolitan city
但是一定是要個 commercial property, and I need to own it w/ a clear title
而且一定要是一個 ”成功的交易”

當然, all numbers need to make sense in this deal
位置要好, 要有增值得淺力 and all that jazz

我要用自己的信譽去籌備資金, 收集投資客來和我投資

我要從中學會 purchasing commercial property, negotiation, using
different financial tools to buy a commercial listing, etc
開始 making big deals, ones that are worthy of millions of dollars
and of course profit from the purchase

怎麼樣?
這個 goal 夠有挑戰性, 但是也不是太容易 pull off 吧
對我的目標 (land development) 一定有幫助
我可以在購買之中仍然 saving, 不浪費我的 equity
又能學習有關 commercial transaction 的 details 和認識重要人脈

更重要的是
這是我前往 land development 的一個踏腳石,
重要且關鍵的一個步驟

Well, 我還年輕
但我給自己三年的期限來完成這個 short term goal

等到順利完成以後
count on it,


I will have that clover tatooed somewhere on my body.


(but I will have it tatooed nicely and up to the GQ standard, so
don’t you worry about it looking ugly :P)
