TASTING - FOUR NEW 2008 AUCHENTOSHAN

Auchentoshan是蘇格蘭目前唯一以三次蒸餾做為標準工序的酒廠,酒質素以純淨著稱. 這場品飲會是在Auchentoshan新品發表會上,會中請到了廠長Iain McCallum來帶領大家一同品飲,並替酒廠三次蒸餾的程序詳加說明.今晚這個場次還特別商請蘇格蘭麥芽威士忌協會台灣分會會長Eric替大家翻譯及解說,謝謝大家的辛勞.以下是當天品飲紀錄:

1. Auchentoshan New Spirit
C: Water
N: 白糖霜,candy, vanilla,
T: clean, white fruit

B:

2.Auchentoshan 12yo OB 40%
C: Light Gold
20 N: crème brulee, lightly orange, vanilla
19 T: light body. A little tropical fruit, round, some alc comes up
19 F: short, a little bitterness at the end
19 B: simple, less complexity, near balanced

3.Auchentoshan Three Wood OB 43%
C: Amber
22 N: orange plum, a little raisin, fruit tea, cinnamon
20 T: medium body, citrus, raisin, cream, a little pepper
21 F: medium, more rich fruit, a little spicy and chocolate, finish in more sweet fruit
20 B: balanced, 香氣均勻,但tasting有些反差

4.Auchentoshan 18yo OB 43%
C: Light Gold
20 N: a little smoky, green tea, apricot (有點A17yo?)
21 T: medium body. white flower fragrance, light and fresh, hint of orange, more tea
20 F: short, grass, 一點麥桿, liquorices
20 B: balanced, light fragrance

5.Auchentoshan 21yo OB 43%
C: Gold Amber
22 N: honey, vanilla, fruity, rich tea, vanilla, apricot, a little nutty, complexes!
22 T: medium body, round, a little spicy, rich, honey
22 F: long, 香氣綿長. a little baked oak, citrus, finish in orange peer, bitterness at the root of tongue, texture, obviously orange
21 B: balanced, both for nosing and tasting. Matured body.
