1.Karuizawa 1981/2007 C#103 58.1% OB

C: amber, red gold

23 N: some meat, ham, toast, coffee bean, dark chocolate, followed by some dark sherry (not sweet), leather, then some baked almond, mushroom, moss and roots. Good layers

23 T: medium, very good direct impact. Strong, active and powerful, hint of coffee, baked ham, cocoa(a little bitter), curry, green banana, green tea(抹茶)

23 F: long, very long, some pepper, mint, clove, nutmeg, dark chocolate, coffee dash, cinnamons, good extension and structure, eucalyptus, beautiful wood cask, tobacco at the end

22 B: good balanced, this is a big one! Fat but concentrated, complexes and still variant

 

2.Karuizawa 1971/2008 C#6878 64.1% OB

C: brown

23 N: some pine, eucalyptus, figs w/ hint of (obvious?) mint, followed by some plum, raisin, orange jam, then some milk dark chocolate

23 T: full, very direct & strong impact, more powerful, even a little burn, full of cocoa, chocolate, plum, raisin in mouth, tobacco, leaves

22 F: long, tough, plum, dark chocolate, figs, a little caramel, cappuccino? deep and rich sherry, w/ hint of mint, dill? Full of cocoa at the end

22 B: good balanced, simply perfect indeed. Amazing ALC, but maybe its weakness?

 

3.Karuizawa 1967/2009 C#6426 58.4% OB

C: dark amber

24 N: dark and deep sherry, syrup, old leather w/ a little smokiness, followed by some plum, anise, dill, quite some ripe fruits, figs, orange, then some cinnamons, and tobacco, very complexes and active!

24 T: full, still very powerful, full of old beautiful sherry, dark chocolate, tobacco, plum w/ hint of mint, baked walnut, almond, some liquorices, 普洱茶? w/ big, beautiful oakiness

24 F: long, very long, espresso, 普洱茶, very attractive, old leather, superb oakiness, ,dark chocolate w/ 80% cocoa, good extension and still variant, also full of dry fruits at the end

23 B: good balanced, enough said, an amazing old monster!
