Learning to watch before they can walk?

Computers and TVs get a lot more 1)attention than books do. On average, kids age six and younger spend less than 40 minutes a day reading or being read to. Children in homes where the TV is on most of the time may have more trouble learning to read than other kids, the study says.

Even very young children are watching a lot of TV, with 43% of babies younger than two watching TV every day. “It's amazing that kids learn about DVDs before they know how to walk, Rideout told Time For Kids.
