甜心, 這個 weekend I’ll be temporarily unavailable for updates.
就像我跟妳所說的, 我要去 Lasqueti Island celebrate Ben’s birthday.
Anyway, 以下是我們的 details, take a look!

So the Weekend of Lasqueti is almost here. Looking at the names it almost
seems like a CPP reunion. 9 of us have been employed by CPP in one way or
another! Matt maybe you can give us a GS&R for old times’s sake, or at least
two-strokes-and-a-poke and few shots of fireball around the campfire.

Who’s coming: Jill, Aran, Matt, Laura, Roshan, Roshan’s g.f, Davis, Marina,
Neil, Paul, Wayne, Al, Pat? Jay? It’s late and I might be forgetting someone
else..

I figured depending on the weather, we could have a 2-on-2 badminton
match, perhaps build some rafts on the islands, and have a bonfire. Capture
the flag could also be a good one.

The ferry to Lasqueti leaves French Creek (Parksville) on Saturday at 9:45am,
230pm, and 530pm. It is a good idea to get to the ferry 15-20 minutes
prior to departure so you can pay $6 for overnight parking (get it at the
Wharfinger’s Office in French Creek). You may want to stay at my Parksville
house on Friday night so you can catch the early ferry to Lasqueti Saturday
morning.

The ferry leaves Lasqueti Sunday at 1pm, and 4pm.

Unless you have some food allergies, I can get groceries for everyone.
Here’s a tentative menu, I just thought up now:

Saturday lunch: Sandwiches (bagels, bread, meats, cheeses, etc)
Saturday afternoon snack: Apples, cookies
Saturday dinner: BBQ meat. Pasta. Salad
Saturday campfire: marshmellows

Sunday breakfast: eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, pancakes, toast, coffee,
tea, juice
Sunday lunch: Sandwiches

Bring:

Ferry fare: $6.50 each way
$ to pitch in for groceries (I think $15 each should do it).
Flashlight!!!
sleeping bag/pillow,
if you’re a couple and want privacy bring a tent.
If we do a raft building competition and you might paddle a raft - bring
a bathing suit.
Grubby clothes and runners, cause you’ll probably be getting pretty dirty.
Mosquito repellant or light-colored clothes (the mozzies are now out in force).
Snacks or special food if you have allergies or are a big-time snacker.
Alcohol

Please tell me what ferry you’ll catch to Lasqueti so I can pick you up at
the dock.

ONE IMPORTANT NOTE - there is no road access to our house, and no fire
department, so please be extremely careful with candles, matches, etc.
