此首《Back Home Again》為美國鄉村歌手John Danver所寫。1974，發行與此曲同名的專輯，單曲獲得告示牌熱門100排行榜的第5名，在「當代成人」及「鄉村」榜則均為冠軍曲。

從60年代後期至70年代的10年期間，John Danver可謂是「熱得發燙」的「空心吉他」歌手，當然也是該時期唱片銷售成績最佳的藝人。台灣歌友最熟悉的應該是他最具代表性的《Take Me Home, Country Roads》及《Leaving on a Jet Plane》等了。

John Danver熱愛滑雪及高爾夫等運動，而最主要的興趣恐還是駕機飛行，之前買過一架Lear噴氣機、一架雙翼的特技表演機Christen Eagle及兩架Cessna 210 Centurion ( 塞斯納 210 百夫長 )，1997再購入一架由業餘愛好者製造的Rutan Long-EZ，同年10月，John Danver駕駛此架註冊編號為N555JD的Rutan Long-EZ，卻不幸失事墜毀身亡，Danver有2700小時的飛行經驗，事後研判原因是飛行中無法切換油箱所導致 ( 切換手柄位置裝設不當 )，僅享年53歲。
