Glenfiddich 1973 30yo 49.2% OB 3rd Refill American Oak Hogshead

C: gold

23 N: elegant fruit, peach, honey apple. Passion fruit, flowers, vanilla, citrus, melon, some coconut w/ beautiful oak, then some fresh cream, light smoky? very complexes and active, lots of flora aromas

22 T: medium, vanilla, smooth, sweet and fruity, apple peels, a little dry

22 F: long, smooth and elegant, prune, tangerine juice, honey, peach, melon, very tender

22 B: good balanced, full of flora and flowers, enjoyable!

 

Glenfiddich 1973 30yo 53% OB American White Oak Hogshead Refill w/ Sherry

C: amber

23 N: still rich fruit, grapefruit, melon, vanilla, honey, cream, some peppers and spices. More wood cask comes up, then some tropical fruits

22 T: medium -> full, good strength and structure, more peppers and spices, honey muffin, wafer, wood cask, roasted toast, creamy

23 F: long, wood cask and tropical fruits, citrus, melon, peach, cream, orange, cocoa, very tender

22 B: good balanced in some aspect, a little smoky w/ lots of rich fruit and flora aromas, quite interesting, one of my favorite!

 

Glenfiddich 1977/2009 32yo 49.4% OB Spanish Oak 2nd Refill Sherry Butt

C: red gold

22 N: some elegant sherry, dry fruits, raisin, toffee, prune, oaky w/ some peppers and spices, honey

22 T: medium, a little dry, orange, warm, baked fruit, honey apple, some chocolate and black berry,

22 F: long, more wood cask, prune, orange peels, some chocolate at the end

22 B: good balanced, deep, complexes, still variant, a wonderful bottle!

 

Glenfiddich 1975/2007 32yo 50.7% OB Hogshead and 4yo in Sherry Butt

C: red gold

21 N: dry fruit, soufflé, crème brûlée, cherry, deep sherry, raisin, ripe prune, hint of apricot, walnut, peach, then some oak wood comes up

22 T: medium, dry w/ good strength, oaky, woody, dry fruit, prune juice w/ good tannins

22 F: long, tropical fruits, coconut, passion fruit, some orange peels, raisin, cocoa

22 B: good balanced, very good individual character, not typical Glenfiddich

 

Glenfiddich 30yo 49.5% OB

C: light red gold

23 N: tropical fruits, peppers, spices, beautiful wood cask, then some beautiful flora aromas w/ elegant sherry, raisin, vanilla, cream, toffee, some chocolate and smoky hint, very complexes and active

23 T: medium, a little powder, dry, vanilla, flora aromas, dry fruits, melon, apple, tender and complexes

22 F: medium -> long, honey, oak, melon, some coffee bean, cocoa

23 B: very good balanced both for N & T, complexes and active, my No.1 today!

 

Glenfiddich 30yo 43% OB

C: light amber, gold

22 N: smooth and elegant, some orange peels, vanilla, prune, melon, peach, then some wood cask, oaky, spices, good layers and structure

22 T: medium, a little dry and spicy, fruity, honey, vanilla, cream w/ some cocoa

22 F: medium, round and smooth, dry fruits, dark chocolate, orange peels,

22 B: good balanced both for N & T. But I would rather choose previous batch.

 

Glenfiddich 1972/2009 43% OB C#19965 140Bts Glory of Formosa

C: gold

23 N: tangerine, grapefruit peels, melon, green apple, honey, then some apricot, flora, complexes and elegant

22 T: medium, smooth and round, gentle, fruity, citrus, green apple, melon, prune, w/ some white chocolate at the middle of tongue

22 F: long, tangerine peels, citrus, honey, hint of pepper and mint

22 B: good balanced, enjoyable!

Glenfiddich 15yo Distillery Edition Matured in Sherry and Bourbon Cask 51% OB

C: yellow, light amber

22 N: elegant and beautiful flowers, some plum, honey, toffee, then some peppers, ginger, good layers w. some obvious ALC

21 T: light -> medium, dry, strong impact, some wood cask, dry, ginger, green fresh plum, raw wood

19 F: medium, a little flat, bitterness, still dry, wood cask, liquorices

20 B: balanced, better for nosing, one shot is enough. Or you can take more time to enjoy the nosing
