此曲為原清水合唱團 (C.C.R.) 的靈魂人物John Fogerty所寫，收錄在他個人第7張的錄音室專輯《Revival》中，專輯於2007發行，成績頗佳，在告示牌專輯排行榜站上第14名及獲得葛萊美獎的提名 ( 惜未獲獎 )。而此曲另發行的單曲亦未能入榜。

John Fogerty才華洋溢、寫唱俱佳，但恃才傲物，在清水合唱團期間可說有些「跋扈」，連同團吉他手的親哥哥Tom都有些受不了他，終致CCR解散 (1968~1972)，單飛後的John Fogerty雖繼續活躍在歌壇，但一般流傳、翻唱的多半還是他在清水時期的歌曲。

此首歌詞的意思滿清楚的，就是希望世間沒有仇恨、戰爭，大家都可以幸福快樂的過日子。回觀目前的世界局勢，俄烏、以巴戰爭未歇，紅海危機以及東北亞到台海至南海的不平靜，展望未來，或也可藉此曲作為新年的新希望吧！
