此首《Listen to Her Heart》為美國搖滾樂團Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers於1978所發行專輯《You're Gonna Get It！》中的歌曲，單曲雖然只獲得排行榜的第59名，卻是Tom Petty個人熱門曲中非常受到喜愛的歌曲 ( 排名第5 )。

此曲為Tom Petty在氣憤之下寫給黑人搖滾歌手Ike Turner的，緣由是Tom Petty當時的妻子Jane Benyo ( 1974-1996) 隨著Tom的製作人參加了在Ike Turner家中舉辦的派對，而Tom則正在去的路上。依據Jane事後的說法，Ike應該是想向她示愛而將房間反鎖，讓她陷入了恐懼的情境，好在後來設法脫了身。Ike這位老兄在感情上「亂」得很，前後共結過14次婚，曾說：「你給牧師2元，文件花費3元，就是這樣了。在那時，離婚對黑人來說沒什麼困擾。」Ike最有名的一任妻子應是Tina Turner ( 1962-1978 )。歌曲開始的歌詞：You think you're gonna take her away With your money and your cocaine。就因為「古柯鹼」這個字使得許多電台無法播放，唱片公司建議將該字改成「champagne ( 香檳酒 )」以求解套，但Tom就是堅持不改，這或也是單曲成績不是很好的原因。

1989，Tom Petty參與了Traveling Wilburys樂團，其他成員都是超級大咖，有George Harrison、Bob Dylan、Roy Orbison及Jiff Lynne，Tom在樂壇的地位也跟著大大提昇，可惜同年底Roy Orbison因心臟病突然去逝，樂團撐到1991也就解散了。Tom自己則是在2017過世，享年66歲。
