在車上聽到她的歌“Time After Time”是那麼地熟悉，感覺似乎好久以前了，這首老歌是別的歌手唱另一個翻版，旋律不太一樣，回到家以後，意猶未盡，找出她的原唱曲又聽了一遍，從頭到尾還是那麼耐人尋味。

曾被選為80年代最棒的搖滾女歌手，有一頭狂野的頭髮, 而且她經常改變髮色，還把頭髮剃掉一邊。是個多才多藝的藝人，寫曲作詞、能歌善舞、又演戲。現在她的外型完全改變了，很有貴婦人樣子，也許年歲增長帶給她不少的改變。她的暢銷流行曲跟麥丹娜比較起來不相上下。



Cyndi Lauper 受歡迎的1984年發行個人第二張專輯 ~ She’s So Unusual (她不平凡)一炮而紅，成為全世界的偶像.這張專輯產生了 Time After Time, Girls Just Want To Have Fun 等多首暢銷曲,光在美國就賣出六百萬張，全世界賣出一千七百萬張,她以這張專輯獲得該年度葛萊美獎最佳新進藝人獎.

1986年推出 True Colors 專輯,這首也有用做『柯達底片』廣告曲，同名冠軍單曲已成 Cyndi Lauper 最經典的歌曲，二十年後的今天聽這首歌曲仍讓人動容不已。

此後 Cyndi Lauper 陸續推出的專輯都不若前幾張那麼成功，她也就慢慢從歌壇消失，現在的 Cyndi Lauper 除了照顧兒子 Declyn Wallace Thornton Lauper 外，偶爾還會推出新專輯,除此之外也只能在一些現場演唱地場合以嘉賓的身份獻唱幾曲了。

Cyndi Lauper 的聲音帶有歇斯底里的瘋狂，她的高音堪稱一絕,發揮在舞曲真可說是淋漓盡致.但是她唱起抒情歌曲又變成小女孩般的惹人憐愛，她的嗓音在80年代無人可出其右。 Cyndi Lauper 的造型也曾是無數少女粉絲模仿的對象，無顏六色的亂髮與厚重的濃妝再加上不按牌理出牌的混搭服飾，也使她成為80年代的流行指標人物.
