Her cone is bigger than mine.

I spent only NTD100 on my Friday dinner.

I thought I deserved a dessert for myself,

so I headed to McDonald to get a vanilla cone.

To be honest, I were quite full at that time.

But there is always some space for a dessert.

Avoid being pampered myself too much,

I ordered a small one which cost NTD20.

There is a girl also having a vanilla cone, a bigger one, right before me.

When it's my turn, I were ready to have my decent-looking ice-cream.

However, compared to the one the girl had,

it looked so lame.

It looked like a size for kids with only three poor rolls.

''Why did I choose to buy this shit?

It only cost 10 more NTD dollar to have a big one." I told myself.

I won't buy this shit anymore!

With a little anger, I started to lick the ice cream on my way home.

It takes about 5 mins from McDonald to my place.

When I reached my place, I just finished my cone and felt satisfied.

I do think if I got myself a bigger one, I'd be stuffed and felt guilty to eat that much.

Her cone is bigger than mine......but so what? Do I really need it?

I ONLY NEED THE ONE WHICH FITS ME BETTER.

That's good.

It's great that you were able to reflect on your experience and come to a positive conclusion. It's important to remember that everyone has different needs and preferences, and it's okay to make choices that work best for you. It's also good to consider factors like portion size and cost when making food choices. As long as you're happy and satisfied with your decision, that's what matters most. Keep up the positive mindset!

Why do we always feel unsatisfied according my experience above?

There could be a few reasons why we sometimes feel unsatisfied with our choices. One reason is that we might compare our choices to those of others and feel like we're missing out on something better. In your experience, seeing the bigger ice cream cone that the girl had may have made you feel like you made a less satisfying choice, even though you were happy with your smaller cone.

Another reason why we might feel unsatisfied is that we have unrealistic expectations. Sometimes we expect things to be perfect or to go exactly as planned, and when they don't, we feel disappointed. In your case, you may have had an expectation that the smaller ice cream cone would be just as satisfying as the larger one, and when you saw the difference in size, it didn't meet your expectation.

Lastly, we might feel unsatisfied because we're not fully present in the moment. If we're distracted or not fully engaged in what we're doing, we might not fully appreciate or enjoy it. In your case, if you were focused on the size of the girl's ice cream cone instead of enjoying your own, it might have contributed to feeling unsatisfied.

It's important to recognize these feelings and try to address them in a positive way. Practicing gratitude, mindfulness, and focusing on our own experiences rather than comparing to others can all help us feel more satisfied with our choices.

Sure! Here are some common examples of unrealistic expectations:

1. Expecting perfection: Sometimes we have unrealistic expectations of ourselves or others to be perfect, or to have everything go perfectly. This can lead to feelings of disappointment, frustration, and stress.

2. Believing that success or happiness will come easily: It's natural to want success or happiness, but it's important to recognize that they often require hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Believing that success or happiness will come easily can set us up for disappointment and discourage us from putting in the effort.

3. Expecting others to read our minds: We might assume that others know what we want or need without us having to communicate it explicitly. This can lead to misunderstandings and frustration when our expectations are not met.

4. Believing that we can control everything: While it's important to take responsibility for our actions and make choices that align with our goals, it's unrealistic to think that we can control every aspect of our lives. This can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety when things don't go as planned.

5. Comparing ourselves to others: It's natural to compare ourselves to others, but it's important to recognize that everyone has their own unique journey and experiences. Comparing ourselves to others can lead to feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and dissatisfaction.

These are just a few examples, but there are many other unrealistic expectations that we might have in different areas of our lives. It's important to recognize them and challenge them in order to cultivate a more positive and realistic mindset.
