STAR LIGHTS AND CLOUD COLORS

There were many stars in the Boston sky

One, two, three, four---- oh thirty-seven different bright stars wondering in the early summer night.

They were looking forward to visiting the different ones.

The night curtain was too heavy, and the distance was too long to look at their partners clearly.

There were many clouds in Harvard Yard.

One, two, three, four----oh thirty-seven clouds of different colors traveling in the July morning.

They were looking forward to touching the different ones.

The morning wind was so tender and smooth, blowing the clouds closer and closer.

            *******     *******      *******

There were many stars in the Boston sky.

There were twinkling during the midsummer night,

    wondering still, but sharing with the different lights.

There were many clouds in Harvard Yard.

They were playing during the bright summer morning, traveling still, but mixing with the different colors.

            *******     *******      *******

There are many stars in the Boston sky in the fall night.

They will not wonder again. They will leave for their different directions with their friends’ shining lights.

There are many clouds in Harvard Yard in the fall morning.

They will not travel again. They will go their homes with their      friends’ brilliant colors.
