此曲為披頭合唱團的Paul McCartney於1961所寫，至1963一直是披頭舞台表演的曲目之一。原本欲將此曲收錄在1963的專輯《Please Please Me》中，無奈錄唱了13次均不滿意，帶子竟也不見了。7個月後，他們又錄唱了9次，最終版本是以第6和第9次的合併編輯。

不僅是樂評對此曲的評價甚差，連McCartney自己在80年代接受採訪時說 : 我對這首歌記不太清楚了，有些歌只是work songs，你對它沒有太多記憶，這首歌就是其中之一。John Lennon對此曲也補了一槍，這是保羅……很差勁的歌曲，我對它從來都沒甚麼興趣。

但樂評Ian MacDonald認為一般對此曲的負評也未盡適當，他補充道 : 將此曲大聲播放並加強低音，你就會聽到一種壓倒性、帶有運動感的搖滾樂，強烈地讓人想起樂隊的現場演奏。台長個人對此曲的印象也不深，但當聽到歌曲中的「You You You」時，卻又充滿了熟習感。

翻唱此曲的樂團有好幾個都是披頭的愛好者。2007，以披頭四歌曲為中心的電影《Across the Universe》，也收錄了此曲，演唱者為也是影片女主角的Evan Rachel Wood。
