Definitely the best pub on the Granville strip.

 

The Morrissey Pub just next to RAMADA hotel.

 

I really enjoy the Morrissey, you can sit at the back until quite late lounging at the tables and then there's always a place at the front that you can elbow your way into.

The atmosphere is very much that of the kind of place that makes me feel at home, dark, woody, big chandeliers hanging everywhere, art on the walls, generally a good place fi you ask me.

Drinks are very reasonably priced and there are always a couple of beers from

 their vast selection on special, usually under $5.

The staff are super friendly and make a dirty gin martini exactly the way I like it.

The service staff are lovely, attractive, fun people who are always happy to suggest a new drink and help you fill your glass.

The decor is very cozy has an upper level with large chandeliers and booths

and lots of floating bars to stand around on the main floor

as well as some round tables.

 

The Morrissey is also a great place to people watch. The clientele never cease to amaze me and if you nestle in a comfy chair in the corner you could spend the night sipping on a drink and watching people go by.

 

The decor is super cool, there's a fireplace and chandeliers and the whole place has a bit of an Addams family vibe...minus the creep factor. They play GREAT music (punk, rock, new wave, etc)

it's a really cool place that successfully stands outside of the typically-douchey Granville box.
