The shadow of a young couple in the tiny narrow
Doorway, etched by the headlight
Shining from my car, reminded me
The way of going home,
Months ago. Yes, only months ago.
The shadow faded into tears that drown
The shining shining light. Lights off. I know,
I need to turn the car backward for
Forwards of my own, and thy. There are no more
Lights, no more tears and no more
Etching shadow in the tiny narrow
Doorway. Still it remains me the way of going home,
Your home, my home and our home, and now,
A house, with you, and another one.
