1964年6月，The Beatles預定要推出的《A Hard Day's Night》專輯尚差3首歌曲，而當時的Beatles要拍片、錄影、上節目及宣傳等各項行程幾乎滿檔，在此情況下該專輯等於是要「限時完成」。

進錄音室當天，由於這首《Any Time At All》是John Lennon才初完成，其他團員並不熟悉，在試唱了7次之後，還是感覺怪怪的似乎少了什麼，就擱著先錄其他兩首。之後Paul McCartney建議在副歌前加了一段「過門」( 後因來不及填上歌詞而成為了「間奏」)，此曲終於在當天完成了。有評論認為，Beatles不僅能在「壓力」下完成專輯的錄製，McCartney也充分的顯示了他作曲的才華。

John Lennon擔任此曲主唱所展現的歌喉，絕對是令人激賞的。不過，此曲開場及各段第2句的「Any time at all」，對Lennon來說，音調有些高，而由McCartney從旁來「幫腔」。此曲雖非Beatles的大熱門曲，卻是Beatles粉絲們也非常喜歡的一首歌曲。

歌曲在傳達對女方的忠誠，及全天24小時無休的服務。不過，真追到手之後，恐怕就不會再這麼「周到」了吧！^^
