看電影，總是有莫名的驚喜；當看到電影裡引用詩時，則是種莫大的喜悅。特別是自己所知道的詩人，甚至是喜愛的詩人時。
來讀詩吧！這是看DVD《愛狗男人請來電》(Must Love Dogs)中，劇情裡所引用並朗頌的詩，我愛的愛爾蘭詩人、1923年諾貝爾文學獎得主－葉慈(W.B. Yeats, 1865-1939)的〈銅分幣〉(Brown Penny)，或譯〈一便士〉：
Brown Penny
I whispered, ’I am too young,’
And then, ’I am old enough’;
Wherefore I threw a penny
To find out if I might love.
’Go and love, go and love, young man,
If the lady be young and fair.’
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
I am looped in the loops of her hair.
我喃喃自語：「我太年輕」，
轉念又想：「我已不算小」；
為此我拋起一枚分幣
來覺應是否該去戀愛。
「去愛吧，去愛吧，年輕人，
如果女孩年輕又美麗。」
啊，銅幣啊，銅幣，
我陷入她鬈髮的圈套內。
O love is the crooked thing,
There is nobody wise enough
To find out all that is in it,
For he would be thinking of love
Till the stars had run away
And the shadows eaten the moon.
Ah, penny, brown penny, brown penny,
One cannot begin it too soon.
愛情是一件難懂的事，
沒人有足夠的智慧
去瞭解它的全貌，
因為他將一直思索愛情
直到星兒全部散去，
雲兒掩蓋了月光。
啊，銅幣啊，銅幣，
開始去愛永遠不嫌早。
電影內容是輕鬆幽默的喜劇，中年失婚男女譜出網路戀情及覓得真愛，很好萊塢的，Happy Ending；女主角有韻味，男主角性格帥氣，都是我欣賞的演員。
與其說，電影講的是網路戀情、找尋真愛、有情人終成眷屬的公式化劇情，我比較感動及深刻的，反而是女主角和她的父親之間幽默及睿智的對話，以及三姐妹之間在看似尖酸刻薄對話後面的彼此疼惜的深厚感情。生活化的對白中藏有很真切的親情，這一點，應該是原著小說或改編劇本時成功而令人欣喜的一面吧。
總之，意外的看到了葉慈的詩，總是帶給我生活裡的深深感動與喜悅。
