Recently a typhoon invaded Taiwan and caused big troubles. The typhoon had broken lots of things until it left.
The typhoon with heavy rain broke the structure of some hills and caused mud slides in the Shi-Men reservoir, which is the biggest fountainhead of water in northern Taiwan. Lots of soil made the water in reservoir very turbid, and the water couldn’t use until the soil settle.
Tao-Yuan, Hsin-chu, Taipei… more and more residents have lived without water, and no water, as bad as others effect of the typhoon, hit the people also, especially two million residents in Tao-Yuan.
My home and our neighborhood began to live without water, the life suddenly changed difficult. For example, we went to Kee-Lung, my grandmother’s house to take a shower, and we couldn’t wash our clothes or clean the house without water, we even couldn’t cook at home, what a terrible result…
We had begun to save the water after no water, because it is too useful. My grandmother said that she would rather no money but have water to use! This event taught us to cherishes the nature “money”.
