Right now! Go go, choosing a pumpkin you like! Hurry up! Hurry up! Hey! Michela! Don't be 發呆!」

I rarely post articles about special holidays on the sites. But this time is particular, cause yesterday evening we made the Jack-o-lanterns in the English conversation course. All of us had fun through the process, and looking forward to waiting the trick-or-treating on this Halloween!
Narrin, my English tutor from United States, three years ago married a Taiwanese girl and moved to Taipei. He was our ex-neighbor lived in the same community, but now lives in Shangzi. Two years ago, Jerry and I first time talked with him when playing with the dogs, and also because he has ever been Guam, so talked much about Guam with us. And about three months ago, we took his course and have more contact with this funny American.
Last evening, I was so surprised when entering Narrin's classroom! The black papers covered on the walls and glasses, and several Jack-o-lanterns were on the desk. Some horrible pictures posted everywhere, and scary music hit my ears. You know, it shocked me because I just woke up form a nap. I could think nothing and doubted if I got in the wrong door. At that moment, Jerry and Flora were already in the classroom. They laughed and told me that some kids were scared just a short while ago. I sat down and listened to Narrin. He said some things about Halloween and emphasized:" I love Halloween!"
Later, he told us he ever planted pumpkins in US near Seattle and celebrates Halloween every year even in Taiwan. Then he said:" OK! Right now you go choosing pumpkins and let’s make Jack-o-lanterns! Hurry up! Hurry up!" We all stood up at once and entered another room to choose pumpkins. Jerry and Flora chose their pumpkins in short time, but I didn't. Every one looked so nice and really hard to choose. Finally, I took a big one and went back to the classroom. Then Narrin showed us some tools and told how to do.
First, put your pumpkin on the table. Cut the upper part and remove all the seeds and hairs. After finishing that, wash it and dry it. Second, draw the face on the pumpkin and cut it with a small saw. Be carefully, don't hurt your hand! And after that, you get a Jack-o-lantern. Wash it again and dry it.
We spent one hour to make it. I was slow, they all finished but I still cut my pumpkin. Narrin called me Wo-gue Michela, and left me doing it alone. He took the photos of Jerry and Flora, surely with their pumpkins. We were so happy. Well you know, these were all our first Jack-o-lanterns! At the last, he asked if the Big Wolf teacher could lead some kids to our home for trick-or-treat on Friday night. Well, certainly we said : Yes!!
