又一位新人有可能出頭，新力集團的C2唱片今年下半年要推出Tim James的首張專輯，預計八月8日發行，目前主打的首支單曲〈I’ll Be Your Secret〉能否為偶像男歌手殺出生路，值得觀察。
Tim今年22歲，來自美國密西根，被認為是相當有潛力的新秀，六呎二吋高，長的帥帥，憂鬱眼神和靈魂歌聲，加上他的創作實力，難怪馬上受到歌壇注目，雖然是在瑪丹娜、麥可的音樂下成長，不過Tim的創作風格卻受到James Taylor、 Van Morrison、Stevie Wonder 和Marvin Gaye的影響，首支單曲是抒情中版搖滾曲，聽起來感覺不錯，Tim的歌聲在偶像歌手中算很棒的，至少比那個叫什麼唐飛的好。裘弟買了Tim的單曲，另一首歌〈In Walks You〉也不錯聽，據了解Tim在11歲時就開始創作寫歌，他還告訴大家，「我的志願就是當一位搖滾歌手！」
不過顯然唱片公司希望第一張專輯還是pop些，找來知名製作Eric Foster White〈Whitney、Hi-Five、Mariah Carey、小甜甜、新好男孩〉來製作，雖然專輯還沒上架，應該會有所成績吧，不然男偶像實在是沒什麼能聽。值得一提是，Tim已經幫偶像團體Youngstown寫了〈I’ll Be Your Everything〉，另外，他的好友，新進美少女Hoku在電影Snow Day的單曲〈Another Dumb Blonde〉也是Tim的作品，所以這位青年才俊很有可能成為樂壇狠角色。
不過或許Tim的音樂好像和Bbmak差不多，就是那種調調，這部分若能多建立自己的特色，才會更有可為。
