昨天考完後去看的
prudential 裡的戲院跟他的外表一點都不相襯 外面金碧輝煌 但裡面其實蠻破舊的 我們遲到了 本來想說這部片上映挺久了 應該不會有很多人
可能昰戲廳太小了 所以位子所剩不多
在美國看電影很麻煩 不能再買票的時候就訂好位了 一定要當場佔位 所以絶對不能遲到 不然位子會很差!

電影中的希臘女主角 一直很不喜歡自己的出身
他爸爸很重視血統的純正 -希臘人要跟希臘人結婚
而且他爸爸也很以作為希臘人為榮-
世界上只有兩種人 一種是希臘人 另外是想變成希臘人的人
他爸爸並堅信著英文是從希臘文來的
最後女主角的白馬王子居然是個非希臘裔的 這可嚇壞他爸爸了!
根據我朋友的說法 這種衝突是存在的 只是嚴不嚴重而已 我有ABC的朋友 他媽媽就很希望他能嫁給台灣人 但他就是缺乏機會也沒有緣分 他媽媽也只好算了 但看的出來 他也很為這個問題困擾
同時去看電影的友人是黎巴嫩裔 他說 這文化和國家認同的問題也曾經困擾他
因為他長於美國 當然會覺得自己是美國人 但 事實上你又有自己傳統的文化
會讓你不同於其他人
他說: 只有你接受自己 了解自己的定位就可以解決了 我想事情沒這麼單純 只是沒有時間深入談這個問題 有點可惜
電影最後女主角的爸爸說了很有趣的一段話:
男主角的姓在希臘文是Apple 女主角的姓是橘子 雖然是不同種 但都是水果
這讓我想到我ABC的同學
他一直強調大家都是human being
我想這是由於他的親身經驗讓他有感而發
有點小悲哀的是
他告訴我 當他在美國的時候 他只覺得自己長的和別人不同 但他不覺得自己被異樣眼光看待 但當他回台灣的時候 發覺 原來真的有人和他長的一樣 吃相同的食物 說他爸媽會說的話(他不大會說中文) 他覺得好高興 覺得有認同感 但這感覺只持續到他開口 他一開口就洩了底 大家都把他當外星人
我不否認 我自己以前也是不大會和不同背景的人溝通 也不想了解不同文化的人 但認識她以後讓我重新省思這方面的問題
我想 處在島國的我們 有時候是否不小心陷入這種心結而不自知呢?
現在的政治人物那麼喜歡搬弄省籍情節
真該叫他們來看看這部電影 尤其是那個剛當阿公的大頭 免得教壞他金孫阿!
