July 1st is Canada Day,like Independence Day July 4th in US. We have celebrations from June 29th to July 1th.
I went to the old-port last Saturady. There was a celebration comptetion of singing "Oh! Canada" to get souvenirs. I can't sing the song but I like the survenirs. :)
I went to see the fireworks on Monday evening. Like Taiwan, we have the fireworks for National Day. I went to the old-port at 10:20 and the outdoor concert is continuing. I am not sure who is the artists on the stage. I guess one of them two is Bryan Adams. And I checked his file on a web site. He was born in kingston, Canada. So I think I guessed right.
The most enjoyable mement in a concert is hearing everyone around to sing with the artist.
And the concert lasted till 11:30. The fireworks was following. It was fantastic. And I thought about the fireworks in taiwan. Wehn I was in Taiwan, I went to see the fireworks sometimes because there is a crowd usually. most of the time, I choose to stay at home. But here, even though there is a crowd but there is more space! We can keep the distance from others, not too close to each other. It's great for me not to smell something disgusting from others' body.
This is my first time to see the fireworks here. There is a firework competition amoung 13 countries since June to Auguest. There is a show every Saturday night. My roommate told me that it's not as good as that in Taiwan. But I think the friework on Canada Day is great. And I enjoy it!
