Look at the picture here closely....
See the guy in a white coat over a pink shirt? He works there… A woman in gray jacket with an orange scarf around her neck is the owner. On the left hand side, there is this woman in blue jacket with BBQ chicken on a stick -- the customer, and with her is either her husband or boyfriend. The woman customer and the man was going through trashcan.
It started like this: the woman passed by and saw me eating, so she questioned, “Is that good?” With mouth full of food, I nodded with approvement. So she and her guy bought 4 sticks, and paid 5 RMB. The boy gave her back 1 RMB, but accidentally dropped it into the trashcan.
So the man asked the boy to pick up the coin for them, but the boy refused:"I gave the change back to you, so it’s your fault that you did not receive it.” The man said, “But you work here and the trash can is yours. Now, you pick up the coin.” But boy insisted “No, not my fault. And the trashcan belongs to my boss, not me.”
After the couple trying to find the 1RMB coin by going through all the junk inside, finally they gave up and started talking very loud in Shanghainess.
Next came the tough looking owner, while the very brave Fiddler started shooting live from the scene. The owner said.”Hey, leave my trashcan alone.” And the woman customer shout it back “Then you give my money back,” at the same time her feet were kicking the trashcan.
Tough looking owner said, “How dare you kicking my trashcan?” The woman customer said “Ha, dare to kick? ” she flipped the trashcan over with one foot and spread the junk all over the floor. “I kick, I kick…” she said.
The owner got so pissed that she started yelling and finger pointing at the woman. The customer wasn’t easily challenged, so she talked very loud and waving her fist as well. Somehow during the arms waving and name calling, the customer kicked the owner’s calf...
To fight back, the owner pull the customer’s hair, and before I came out of shock, they were pulling each other’s hair, kicking and punching each other. Very efficiently, they move the battlefield from the stand to street, one running after another, while at least 20 people standing around and watching.
While shooting pictures I was wondering “Just over 1RMB?”
