〈乾旱季節〉

 

連影子

都被曬得瘦骨嶙峋

胸前飄著的幾根鬍鬚

也疏落焦黃

 

沒有露水潤喉

鳥兒不再來窗前

嘰喳

擾人清夢

挑撥靈感

 

握著一枝乾涸的筆

詩人眼睜睜瞪著

空無一物的

天空

 

別期望

這樣的日子

會有喜極而泣的

雨

 

 

 

DRY SEASON

 

even the shadows

are dry to the bone

their whiskers sparse and brown

 

with no dewdrops to moisten their throats

birds won't come to the window

to chirp

to waken dreams

to inspire

 

holding a dried-up pen

the poet stares at the blank sky

where not a single trace of cloud

is in sight

 

no tears of joy

are expected

anytime
