Dirty Three - Cinder

其實我很少在聽後搖，叫的出口的樂團不多。

沒記錯的話，Dirty Three也是澳洲團。


在沒有時間思考的新訓期間，竟然會在某些奇妙的時候，想起了Dirty Three。
Dirty Three在台灣算是「略為」有點知名度的，相比起來，我對Mogwai之類的就比較顯得麻痺。

Dirty Three比較符合我想像中的post-rock：
沒有傳統樂團形式，不需要製造噪音，不需要強力主唱，不需要表現團員的外表。
Jim White的鼓，有爵士的味道； Mick Turner的吉他有著民謠的些許輕飄；而Warren Ellis 的小提琴是Dirty Three最讓人纏繞心頭的聲音；三者的交錯，每個節拍的恰到好處，不需要歌詞也能想像一幅畫面。

【Cinder】的專輯封面，是Dirty Three那帶著憂鬱風格的深藍色彩；封底是油畫的原野，也是聆聽者在聆聽【sad sexy】、【Dream Evie】時所想像的畫面；
細膩與焦慮的【flutter】、猶如原野奔跑的【the zither player】；
也有回歸低調的【It happened】、【Too soon,too late】。

與過去Dirty Three的專輯不同的是，這張專輯中有一首由Chan Marshall來演唱的歌曲：【Great Waves】

驚訝兩者的合襯，完全陷入歌聲與Dirty Three所編織的背景之中。
那是水面上的波紋，緩緩加劇成漩渦，你不需要抵抗，捲入水中會進入另一片空曠的草原，天氣是略帶濕氣的午後，你很想說「　　」卻說不出口，因為你說不出口。


炎熱的八月，總在恍惚之間，我的腦海中出現小提琴、民謠吉他與敲擊樂器的聲音，以及那淡藍、黃、綠的碎屑組成的畫面。
雖然晚了點，還好此生沒有錯過Dirty Three。
