Standard gain horn antennas are used as calibration devices that measure the gain of other antennas.
These antennas are made up of a combination of a Waveguide to Coax Adapter and Standard Gain Horn with Waveguide Input. It is a kind of simple combination but with great care and attention to create an antenna with accurate and suitable specs.

收治陳先生的三軍總醫院耳鼻喉部暨醫美中心醫師孫萬烜表示，原來陳先生在10多歲時因長年鼻塞過敏，醫師診斷為「鼻中膈彎曲」而接受切除術；雖然術後有解決鼻塞的問題，沒想到20年後卻又開始有鼻塞問題產生。

孫萬烜說，一般而言，童年的鼻塞過敏問題最主要的治療是鼻噴劑等藥物治療。因為骨骼還在發育，通常不會在18歲之前做骨骼相關的切除手術。而鼻中膈彎曲是鼻內部隔開兩個鼻腔的隔板彎曲。導致鼻中膈彎曲的原因最常見是在發育過程中，鼻中膈不同骨板之間接合不齊導致。進而導致鼻黏膜表面不平整的歪曲，在長大發育過程中愈來越嚴重。鼻子結構性的彎曲，輕則導致鼻塞，嚴重可能影響鼻竇的健康循環導致慢性鼻竇炎產生息肉等嚴重問題，更有可能影響嗅覺功能。鼻中膈彎曲的矯正目前最常使用內視鏡的方式，從鼻孔進入切開黏膜，將彎曲的鼻中膈軟骨移除，外觀沒有傷口，恢復期很短。
他說，陳先生在10多歲就接受鼻中隔手術的治療，雖當下解決鼻塞的問題，但切掉的鼻中隔空缺經年累月卻會被疤痕組織填滿。漸漸的導致鼻攣縮的問題，使外觀上鼻子微有塌陷。如果連外觀都有歪的鼻扭曲，除了可能伴隨的鼻中隔彎曲矯正外，也要一併矯正鼻外觀扭曲問題。經討論後，藉由自體軟骨做為材料，重建陳先生鼻型，利用肋骨牆而有力的特色，支撐山根和鼻頭，完整重建出適當之鼻型。
孫萬烜呼籲，民眾如果有鼻塞問題，除了先評估自己是否有鼻扭曲的現象，更建議到耳鼻喉科做詳細檢查，醫師能針對鼻中隔和鼻骨做完整評估，給予病患最好的治療。
