[1] 10英寸 LP現代爵士5000 系列
Blue Note 現代爵士系列 開始於51年, 發行了下面這些10英寸單聲道LP唱片, 這其中一些後來曾作爲12英寸的1500系列重發. 首先, 這些唱片錄製於紐約的各個錄音室(其中包括Reeves Sound Studio, WOR Studios, Apex Studios和Audio Video Studios等). 當然,從1953年10月份開始, 大多數的錄音都在Rudy Van Gelder在新澤西Hackensack的家中進行(Van Gelder 在1959年7月將錄音室搬到Englewood Cliffs) . Blue Note老闆Alfred Lion和Rudy Van Gelder分別作爲製作人和錄音工程師經歷了所有這些唱片, 而許多套封的攝影則出自Lion小時候的夥伴Francis Wolf.
