[2] Blue Note 1500 系列
Blue Note在55年末開始將10英寸盤(1英寸爲2.54釐米)升級成12英寸 LPs. 現代爵士系列以下面這些12寸盤繼續, 其中大多數都以單聲道(BLP系列)和人工身歷聲(BST81000系列)兩種版本發行. 從1956年開始, Reid Miles設計了大部分的套封, 和Alfred lion的製作, Rudy Van Gelder的錄音和Francis Wolf的攝影一起, Miles的套封設計幫助定義了Blue Note外在形象和內在音樂之聲.
