100個心目中世界夢幻地點(4)/ Top 100 Dream Destinations (4)

種種因素讓我的新聞台停滯了好一陣子
今天心血來潮來PO一篇吧
Lots of reasons stop me writing my blog for a while
and for some reason, I feel like writing one today ~


這回要介紹的地方，是我去年暑假去黑峽谷旅途中經過的一個景點

當時並沒有停留去拍照一直覺得很可惜
去年的聖誕節又去了一次
因為停留時間有限
我也不知道該把這篇文章當作遊記還是推薦這個景點
那就乾脆放在同一篇文章  
一石二鳥~
This place for today in this article was a spot I passed last summer along the way 
to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park
(for the article of Black Canyon, see the link above)
I didn't stop for this sight last summer and it was a pity. 
And luckily, I got to go to the States again for X'mas last year, 
so I went there!! But it was a short stop, so I wasn't sure if I should 
write this article as my own journey blog, or to recommend this place as 
top 100 dream destinations,
so I just gonna do both in this article :)


這是美國科羅拉多州的韋爾
從丹佛國際機場西(南)方兩小時車程即可抵達
This is Vail, Colorado
it's 2 hours away southwest (a little) from Denver International Airport


科羅拉多州原則上是個挺富裕的州，有錢人不少
尤其在冬天的時候，可以看到許多從世界各地飛來滑雪的人
住的地方就像韋爾這種滑雪度假村
I think, basically, Colorado is a pretty rich state
there are many wealthy people live there, 
and lots of them do not reside here but fly from all over the world
in the winter to stay here and enjoy skiing. 
Vail (Vail village) is one of the town like this. 

(this is the first snowing day in my life!!!!)


許多高級的飯店(如四季，麗池卡登等)在這都有設點
跟台灣這幾年開始流行的"酒店式公寓"一樣
這些飯店的房間都提供長短租
(租金當然嚇死人)
既然是吸引大家來撒鈔票的地方
風景當然是很美的
many fancy hotels (like Four Season, Ritz-Carlton...etc.) are here,
the condo for rent deal (which started to get popular in Taiwan recently) are 
well-known in this kind of luxurious place. And yes, the scenery would
HAVE to be great to make people spend their cash.

這次在聖誕節前到這裡
四周的燈飾讓人感覺置身歐洲(雖然我沒去過歐洲)
很有聖誕童話小鎮的感覺呢~
I got here before Christmas eve, 
all the lights on the buildings (and yes, on the trees) make me feel like 
I am in Europe (which I've never been yet).
But what I mean is, it feels like a Christmas town from fairy tale~


根據維基百科的介紹
韋爾滑雪區是全美第三大的
科羅拉多州內因為有洛磯山脈而馳名
當然也少不了冬季最盛行的滑雪村囉
according to Wikipedia, 
Vail ski resorts are the third in north america (in si ze I assume)
and Colorado is also famous of Rocky Mountain
so yeah, of course, you would think of ski resort when you think of Colorado.


雖然我這回沒有滑雪，但是看到了人在雪機
還有台灣人只有在電影中才能看到的那種滑雪纜車(椅)
感覺真的很酷
(雖然我去年夏天有搭過，可是在茫茫白雪世界看到更有FU)
I didn't get to ski this time 
but it was cool to see the snow-making machine
and the ski lifts we Taiwanese could only see in movies.
(I took a ride of a lift last summer, but I think it is much more
awesome if you take it in winter in white!)

but anyway, I got not much to say because I think the pictures are more
convincing than words.

如果要去歐美滑雪
我覺得這個地方算挺方便的
從丹佛國際機場也有看到飯店滑雪接駁車
(不確定是不是從韋爾去的)
加上附近聳立的高山
真的讓人覺得很漂亮喔!
I think it is easier to fly to Colorado and ski if you are thinking of 
going to ski in Western countries (like Switzerland, France...)
the mountains here are majestic, and I think there are shuttles from 
Denver international airport.


而且在韋爾的那些飯店真的一間比一間美
飛去歐洲太貴又怕語言不通(歐洲滑雪區很多講法文或德文的樣子)
那就去科羅拉多州吧!!!
those hotels are awesome beautiful, too. 
I bet it is more expensive to fly to Europe, 
and if you speak English, you don't have to worry about being here
(cuz you might have to worry about communication if you are in Europe
if you do not speak like French or German)
well, then Colorado is definitely one of the best choice for you. 



另外同樣位於韋爾附近，也只有冬天才有開放的冰城堡應該也很值得去
(這次去時間不夠:(所以只好給大家看網路上的照片)
there is another place I think it's pretty cool around here. 
It's maybe an hour away from Vail. 
The Ice Castle only open in the winter, 
I didn't have enough time to go this time....
so I guess you can only view pictures from website like I do.
