For those that do not like the WPS configuration, the Mywifiext Setup Wizard is for those. This is because WPS is not the job of those routers.. In comparison to the WPS configuration, the manual setup is rather repetitive. You will need to go to the setup page in order to set up a brand new Netgear Extender system. For the manual setup, the step-by-step instructions are below:
- Link the power supply to your wireless extender.
- The power light on the extender will inform you that the setup process is ready to go through.
- Next, attach the extender with your router.
- Just Netgear-Ext. It will become the tag of your network now.
- Open a web browser on your Desktop and connect via mywifiext.local.
- The Netgear extender login page will appear after that.
- Fill out the username and password for mywifiext.net in the fields provided. Click the Proceed-only button.
- Furthermore, select your WiFi network at home and enter your password.
- By following the extra on-screen instructions, finish the setup.
