Recently finished reading ”kafka on the shore”.

Therefore, I was searching for my next reading material in Strand. And, I found ”The World of Antiques, Art and Architecture in Victorian America.”

he history of communications design I took last term interested me in the aspect of context. It’s very interesting when you understand every element of an art work and its relation with the context.

The name of the style comes from the queen, victoria, in england (1837-1901). Victorian style influences america because there were international exhibitions about art and design during victorian period, which help spread the style. England also learns the skills of making and using machines from america, which also help the style grows.
