From the time I began to prepare for the English exam, vocabulary memorizing is the tough thing that I need to ease it off by recording these words down.
It seems to work out at first, but I am a person easy to be tired of the same things….. By the way, memorizing vocabulary by rote only is just like to chew the bones, it is really awful to me, because I am a carnivore about learning. The fascinating and the logical structure of a subject are the flesh and blood to me. That’s why there comes the need to develop the new way to memorize those troublesome words.
What is the way I want to take? You guess. Just so simple and so interesting to me, it is the way that I used to learn about my native language.
Book reading!
Find a book that the level of the context is the same with Times, Newsweek and etc, and try to enter the world that inside the story of the book, and I can enjoy the trip of this book and recite the vocabulary at the same time, in a more funny way. It gives me the “active” motivation to say those words used to depict the exciting plot by heart rather than the “passive” to repeat the vocabulary just because the exam needing to take. Vocabulary is not just the bones waiting for chewing but becomes the way to decipher the meaning within the narrative. From the threads of the story, I could “taste” the flesh and blood within the magical power of the vocabulary instead of the boring rote.
^_^
Finally, I realize that a carnivore is what I really am about learning.
Input and output are the two sides of learning. That’s why I need to write down what I think in English. If I continue to express what I muse upon in Chinese, frankly speaking, it is hard to get the improvement about the ability that I need to train up.
Hope you all will give me some support and enjoy it. ^^
