Yahoo, Telemundo create Yahoo! Telemundo

MAY. 10 10:31 A.M. ET Yahoo Inc. and NBC Universal Television Group's Telemundo said Wednesday they're combining their Web sites aimed at the U.S. Hispanic market to form Yahoo! Telemundo.

The companies hope to draw users and advertisers with the combination of Telemundo's content and Yahoo's services. Yahoo and Telemundo.com said they will merge their staff and share advertising revenue, but neither company will make any equity investment in the other.

The new entity will replace the existing Yahoo! en espanol and Telemundo.com; both Web sites already direct users to the new joint site.
