?本文想以一個在港的台灣交換學生經驗，提供另一種「中國觀察」及對應的「台灣反省」。

有幸認識一位廣東朋友，因此到廣東一趟。剛開始在市區搭車時，我很驚訝發現，路上竟然有寫著「民主」的宣傳口號，一時之間還以為大陸甚麼時候變成民主國家，問朋友之後，他說：「黨的表面功夫做得不錯。」之後和另一位廣東人聊天，他說：「台灣真好，都可以常常上街抗議，要是在這邊，一天之內就被武警驅離了」。這反映大陸政治雖然比以前開放，但根本上仍是專制國家。

經濟面向，一個普遍認知是：「台灣經濟在衰退中，而大陸經濟正在起飛」。這樣的大趨勢，或許也是很多人支持服貿的理由—透過和大陸的貿易，使台灣走向世界，振興經濟。

當大陸頂尖學生都覺得，自己未來資源可能不足而努力時，我必須要大膽地問一句：「台灣在與大陸的競爭裡，年輕人的勝算有多少？」

我絕不是認為，台灣沒有優勢。走在深圳大學附近，你看到一個又一個科技公司。可是你不會覺得他們「整體」特別厲害，因為到處充斥著山寨、參差不齊的氣息，也不會感覺到創意。

若要比學生素質與特定產業的基礎建設，竹科絕對不會輸深圳科技園。

然而，回頭一望，當大陸科技業領袖，都是四五十歲的壯年人時（馬雲甚至都已經退休），台灣卻都是老將在領軍苦撐著！這是怎麼回事？

有人說這都是因為年輕人不認真，但事情有這麼單純嗎？一個鼓勵年輕人競爭的社會，卻無法把年輕人送到領袖的位置上，到底是社會問題、還是個人問題？這是值得深思的。

照這樣下去，當未來台灣與大陸貿易熱絡時，一種可能的情況是，許多年輕人將會被「磁吸」去大陸，台灣逐漸凋零、房價高到不可思議、人才外流，民主政治被淹沒在強勢的經濟發展之下，到時也沒有什麼統獨問題（如某些悲觀台商的形容）。

或許這想法悲觀，但我以為，當還沒有找出適合台灣的經濟發展戰略，與實施相應配套前，貿然與大陸進行經濟來往，是有高風險的，年輕人並不會獲得比較多的機會，不可不慎。

子曰：「暴虎馮河，死而無悔者，吾不與也。必也臨事而懼，好謀而成者也！」和大陸貿易，會是台灣的機會，但若處理不當，卻也可能造成危機。

害怕大陸，並不是因為不敢去，而是因為體認到其強勁與台灣的不足。期許執政者，不論哪個政黨，都能夠全力以赴，用智慧和勇氣去面對大陸這個難題。

台灣人，和大陸做生意，真的想要贏的話，民主和經濟都不能捨！
