Have you ever felt a sudden thrust of pain when

you gave her hands to the man you barely knew much about,

and finally realized that she ceased becoming your daughter

in becoming someone else's wife.

Is it part of you that was gone or it was the feeling

of conquer and triumph that took over you? or both?

"I now annouce you husband and wife" and part of you is dead.
