Over the 2012 MLB All-Star festivities, we noticed quite a collection of colorful cleated footwear starting with the Home Run Derby on Monday night, when the contestants wore the ‘Home Run Derby’ PE of the Nike Air Max MVP Elite 3/4 Metal (and a bunch of other colorways during the All-Star Game, like David Wright and Melky Cabrera’s Hot Orange PE). Even during pre-game warm-ups, the All-Stars opted for some nice selections like the Nike Lunar TR1+, Air Max TR1+ 360 Breathe, and even the Nike Zoom KD IV (worn by Pittsburgh’s Andrew McCutchen). Adidas brought the fire with the hot-orange adidas adiZero Sonic Cleat, as did Under Armour, which went for the sick golden detailing.

There are certain ways to ‘womanize’ a considerably ‘masculine’ sneaker. Shoes like the Nike Dunk, Nike Terminator, and Nike Air Force 1 have roots in performance basketball in the 80′s and the somewhat bulky construction may not be so appealing to the lady folk. The Nike Dunk’s been ‘Skinny’ed’, the Air Force 1 has a ton of lady-friendly colorways, and for this particular Terminator High, we have these interesting shoe-strings that become ankle straps, a furry inner lining, and glittery toebox.

We’re right in the thick of SXSW, meaning that droves of people are down in Austin, TX doing all sorts of taste making and concert going.
