人物一：
西元1992年，顆臨盾當選成為美國史上最年輕的總統。主政期間不僅
帶領美國經濟邁向繁榮，再世界領袖舞台上亦有亮麗的表現。然而，
與白宮實習生路聞司機的緋聞卻扯出一連串的性醜聞案，讓小顆成為
美國史上第二位被眾議院提出彈劾的總統。幸而以他在總統公務上的
表現得以繼續贏得美國民眾的支持與肯定。
人物二：
小不吸繼小顆連任之後在2000年當選成為美國總統。小不對軍事的政
策顯然與小顆不同。他「重新定義戰爭」是，全力發展新式武器，提
高軍隊戰力，使美軍具有同時打贏兩場區域戰爭的能力。他認為軍隊
的主要作用是「打仗」，而且要打贏，而不是致力於「國家建構」
（nation-building）。他批評顆臨盾政府過多地使用軍隊，為了人
權和人道救援理由出兵，並多是參加維和任務。
果然，小不在西元2003年終於實現他的競選口號派兵攻打伊拉克，其
希望在剩下一年的任期內留下輝煌的戰績，並且得以連任成功。
