I thought I fell in love with you;
I'll confess I was wrong.
When you've fallen you hit bottom,
I'm still falling all along.
I'm falling every time we speak;
I'm falling when we're not.
I figure if I fall I'll fall,
with everything I've got.

I told you that we could be friends;
I've changed my mind since then.
If we were friends and nothing more,
my heart would bleed again.
Though friends we had to be to start,
friends also marks the end,
so unless it's over, let's be lovers,
to hell with being friends.

I said you were the man for me;
the glove that fits the hand.
But since that day, arose some things,
I've found that I can't stand.
I can't stand being far from you;
can't stand alone this much.
Can't stand that I believed that I would,
get by without your touch.

Take my words into your heart;
don't let them make you blue.
But smile instead, though we're apart,
and know that I love you.
