I felt your presence in the air, before I saw your form
It made me slightly nervous... my cheek grew hot and warm
My mouth was dry, my breath was quick, as I looked around the room
But only caught your silhouette, along with some cologne

A fresh, soaring aromatic, a craving for this shadow
To look into your very eyes.......to drink you in....so slow
Something felt familiar, and made my heart feel whole
I am a complex fraction, no peace within my soul

The room was so tight, with laughter, smoke and voice
But I was only focused upon my phantom choice
Looking for you everywhere, I searched from room to room
Like a bloodhound....of shadows and scent

I found myself walking towards, a couple by the door
Muffled conversation, that sounded like a war
As I watched them silently, you stopped and turned my way
And felt my soul, speak through my eyes...I kissed you with my
gaze
