Words are like bits of glass,
collected into poems to make mirrors.
But in the reflection what do you see?
The feelings of the writer,
or some cast-back of your own?
Don't take my poems so seriously,
for some are true...
but others are just fantasies.
Dreams of a mind going where it will,
to places it has never been,
and the poems are just the memoirs
of a journey never taken.
And in time they shall all be forgotten,
though you and I will remain,
after the words pass away...
So don't let the poems, the images,
lead you astray...
let the mirror stay whole
and just enjoy the view,
and maybe take a fantasy or two from me
and make them your own...
Just remember,
words are like bits of glass...
