You have raised a good question, and I wonder why it never occurred to me during that week. I have walked, dined, and drank in such crowded but lonely city all by myself. But I had never looked for you… Now I look back and wonder how many times we may have ate at the same place, walked on the same street, and stopped at the same garden…
Jest of God is how you used to call it, and indeed our story seems to fall into this theme so perfectly. Never expected we would come to an end, and I am still uncertain how our future will lead us. I know I should get used to this life without you, but how do you erase something this special? The memory of you is so remarkable that it’s merely impossible to get it over. I know I have to move on, and this is what you want from me. But, is that what I want for myself?
To get back to your question. No, I have not thought that we might walk pass each other, but I do know that we have wished upon the same bright stars and slept underneath the same big sky... until we meet in next life.
