紐約市議員籲年修100哩單車道 白思豪閃爍
: 紐約市長白思豪(Bill de Blasio)此前一再表示要建設更多的受保護的單車道(secure bike lane)，以確保單車騎士的安全；但市議會交通委員會主席羅格貴茲(Ydanis Rodriguez)日前呼籲每年建設100哩的受保護單車道後，白思豪卻對此閃爍其詞，表示再看實際需求和建設能力決定。
建設受保護單車道一直是白思豪上任以來的頭等要務之一，紐約市2014年僅建設了5.4哩受保護單車道，而今年則預計增加29.4哩；羅格貴茲日前提出更高要求，希望紐約市每年增加100哩受保護單車道。

飯店住宿優惠預訂貴茲表示，隨著電單車和電動助力車即將在未來合法化，同時Citi Bike的使用也愈來愈廣泛，紐約市每年應增加100哩受保護單車道，確保市民和遊客的騎行安全，同時也保護人行道的安全，「我呼籲紐約市在這方面加大投資」。
白思豪雖有心建設，但對羅格貴茲的提議閃爍其詞；他回應：「建設更多的單車道一直是這屆政府的頭等要務之一，而且我們在這方面顯然進步很大；拿出實際行動才是頭等大事，我們已經逐步增加受保護單車道的數量，我們也將繼續這項工作。」
至於建設單車道的數量，白思豪說，「我們會就具體需求和市府在有限時間內的建設能力來確定」，強調在「零死亡願景」(Vision Zero)計畫下，建設更多受保護單車道的大方向沒有變。
不過，羅格貴茲對白思豪的回應感到失望：「我們的目標是將魯莽駕駛導致的交通事故致死數量降至零，因此我們需要拿出一個計畫；如果我們希望在2030年達到這個目標，同樣也要在2030年建設更多的受保護單車道，而每年建設100哩受保護單車道對此非常重要。」
廢票比得票多 鄉民擬提罷免案

雲林縣唯一鄉鎮市長同額競選的麥寮鄉，鄉長當選人蔡長昆得票數8068票，低空掠過當選門檻7087票，無效票則高達1萬6083票，選前不滿投票權遭剝奪的鄉民組成「廢票聯盟」，認為投票廢人數眾多，考慮提出罷免鄉長案。
麥寮鄉長選舉原本由尋求連任的現任鄉長許忠富同額競選，沒想到登記截止日許忠富突然放棄登記，改由現任鄉代會主席蔡長昆登記參選，形成許忠富「禮讓」蔡長昆接任鄉長，引發部分鄉民不滿，組成「廢票聯盟」加以抵制。
24日開票結果蔡長昆拿下8068票順利當選，但無效票高達1萬6083票，是當選票數的2倍，創下無效票高於得票數的歷史紀錄，「廢票聯盟」認為這種結果顯示許多鄉民對於許忠富、蔡長昆2人私相授受的不滿，因此選後立即開會討論罷免鄉長案。
「廢票聯盟」表示，以麥寮鄉3萬5000投票數計算，罷免案
刷卡訂房折扣第1階段需1％選民簽署即350人，第2階段連署需10％選民簽署即3500人，最後階段投票，只要同意罷免票數多於不同意，且超過選區25％得票率即8750票即罷免成功，但依規定罷免案要在鄉長上任滿1年後才能提出。
面對廢票聯盟擬提罷免案，蔡長昆表示他尊重「廢票聯盟」的理念，虛心接受各界的指教，未來會秉持選前承諾，延續許忠富的麥寮施政，繼續建設、守護麥寮。
