Auditory hallucinations, like many other medical terminology, full of misleading and negative implications, resulting in many tragedies. The experiments show that one effective self-treatment method is:
Understanding and recognizing auditory hallucinations is the brain's chattering and muttering. The brain's self talking will be projected on the noise outside. And when patients being outwardly focused on listening to outside noise, as a result of the external sound mixing, distance and ambiguity, will produce many errors in audition and cognition. Based on the above understanding, patients should take out the habit of listening outward, and listen to their own voice instead, and pay attention carefully to the subtle movements of their own mouth、 vocal cords and other organs of language in action. In this way, will avoid outward erroneous voices and disarray which resulting in many unnecessary fear, anxiety and psychological burden.
幻聽像很多其他的醫學名詞, 充滿誤導和負面暗示, 以致造成許多悲劇. 一個經過實驗證明有效的自我處理方法是:
了解並體認幻聽只是頭腦的碎碎唸和喃喃自語, 這種頭腦的自言自語會投射在外面的噪音上, 而當患者向外專注聆聽時, 由於外在聲音的混合, 距離以及模糊不清, 會產生許多錯誤的聽覺和認知. 基於以上的了解, 患者要把向外聆聽的習慣, 轉向聆聽自己講話的聲音, 並且注意自己嘴巴、聲帶以及其他語言器官有沒有在動, 這樣就不會向外聽錯許多聲音而自亂陣腳, 造成許多不必要的恐懼、焦慮和心理負擔.

Next, all ranking similarly in terms of popularity, were the three strategies “listen to music”, “watch television”, and “talk with others”. Finally, “exercise” also ranked fairly highly, and was the fifth most popular method of dealing with auditory hallucinations.
