（中央社記者戴雅真台北13日電）外交部今天表示，中華民國政府對泰國國王拉瑪九世蒲美蓬辭世深表哀痛與惋惜，並表達誠摯哀悼與慰問。總統蔡英文及行政院長林全已透過駐泰國代表處轉達政府與人民對泰王陛下逝世悼唁之意。

外交部指出，泰國在泰王努力下，奠定蓬勃繁華基礎，且成為東南亞諸多發展中國家學習的對象。泰王在位期間治國有方，終其一生為泰國社稷謀福利，泰王辭世不僅是泰國人民的損失，國際社會也失去一位領導典範。

泰王與詩麗吉皇后曾於1963年6月5日至8日訪問中華民國，當時的總統蔣中正夫婦代表歡迎泰王與皇后，象徵兩國友誼。多年來，兩國睦誼持續穩定發展，雙方民間互訪密切。泰國現名列台灣前10大貿易夥伴，也是國人前往東南亞旅遊首選。

外交部表示，台泰雙方在政、經、教育及文化等各領域交流密切，農業合作更可追溯至1960年代。以人民為重的泰王蒲美蓬為改善泰國東北農民生活水平，推動成立「泰國皇家計畫基金會」（Thailand RoyalProject Foundation），曾邀請我國派遣專家協助農民發展耕種高經濟價值農作物，成果豐碩。1051013
