To Alex,
My face is itchy because I had lots of face paint on it and I need to wash it, this is how it all came about. We had to do an Easter production, just the year fives.
Well you see I was a raindrop, an acid raindrop and we had to get our faces painted so that it would show up in the blue light we were dancing in. Anyway today is Wednesday April 9th 2003 and this is our last performance in ‘Layers’, the musical we are doing.
Mum dropped me outside the school gate and said that she would come to watch me doing the play. Then Shahad (Jenny's classmate) and I had to put our face paints on and it itched a lot, but it looked great. The design was superb; I don't know where Mr. Imberg got it. Then this is the bit I enjoyed most, when we all went into the hall and started the play with the ‘White squirrels play on sunny days’ song. What I liked best was when all the acid raindrops had to go onto the stage and do our raindrop dance which was quite scary, but I still danced very well (everyone said so). I liked this play very much especially the songs.
I felt very proud when all the audience clapped me, so very proud.
I liked Matt best in the play because he was very funny and good at singing and had a funny moustache! I felt jumpy when we went into the hall because my painted face showed up very clearly and I don't know what my mum thought of it. It's over now and I don't know that I would get another chance to do it again. Sometimes it was quite boring for me and the rest doing and listening and singing the same thing for at least 100 times, but you still can’t resist peeping at what they were doing on the stage now and again. Actually I'd watch the whole thing form my place. So I am glad we don’t have to do the play again, but I also miss the songs. Even now I can still hear them and how I wish I could do it again!
But if I really can do it again, which I can't, then next time I'd be an actor instead of a raindrop. It's my greatest wish ever. I think this is the best play ever and I am willing to do this play again if possible. But at the moment I am going to wash my face.

1.Jenny從小就不喜歡畫臉，不管是美術課或課外活動，看到別人畫臉總是躍躍欲試，畫玩後就開始想要卸妝了，但為了準備學校的舞台劇表演，倒是忍了好幾天的不方便。
2.英國學校常常會利用各種機會募款，上學期，我們花了六鎊買回Jenny在學校的一張畫（學校加了框），學校有一個老師還發了簡訊向家長募款，表示自己要利用復活節假期騎單車繞英格蘭西南，而Jenny他們的表演則採賣票方式，大人二鎊小孩一鎊（對外表演二場，校內一場），不過不管募款方式是什麼，所得金額通常是捐給慈善機構，或留作學校增添設備之用。
