Yesterady is really gonna be an unforgettable day for me and I believe, for a lot of other people.

I was invited to have dinner with Sparrow at Metro.
We met at Breadtalk

When I arrived at Metro, Cai Sheng, Aaron, Ewen, and of course, Sparrow were already there. They were shouting to Bianca and Brenna which were at the wrong way.

We first went to a Singapore restaurant for dinner, most of us ordered Laksa, only Bianca and Ewen ordered chicken rice. We chatted in the restaurant for a long time, and we talked about all sorts of stuff...and some old memories of theirs, which I wasn’t so familiar with. But it was really enjoyable, and fun listening to the conversation. And no offense..Bianca you really talk a lot..lol..but I kinda enjoy her company. We also ordered some other dishes, and we ended up paying was it 50?? each. Sparrow wasn’t allowed to pay for his own Lagsa and drink. I wanted to pay for him but Bianca said she must pay for him..so I let it go.

After dinner, we went for arcade, I bought 50 coins and I played the ”Shooting Basketball” machine for quite a while..until my hands were really really tired. Cai Sheng and Aaron were playing the shooting games..it was kinda realistic and the zombies were as usual..nasty and ugly. Sparrow didn’t stand around us, he stood in front of this fetching machine, and kept trying to pick up a minnie mouse..(or was it something else?) I think he didnt make it..but still..and then we played for some more and then we went for Ice-cream at Swensens.

We ordered 10 kinds of ice-cream out of 12 and two ”buckets” of french fries, took a group photo,and we just sat there chatting, Sparrow was really quiet..he looked very depressed and he wasn’t eating any ice-cream. When we asked him to eat, he just randomly stuff some ice-cream in his mouth..after a while he stood up and said he wanted to go to the bathroom. And we knew that something’s going on because he went to the bathroom 5 minutes ago. Ewen followed him, and they didn’t come back for quite a while. Brenna went to check secretly and came back saying that ”Sparrow is crying.” And then she started crying. I looked at the people, Cai Sheng looked up, pretending nothing was wrong, yet I can definitely tell, and it’s true that there were tears, his eyes were watery. Bianca started to sob as Brenna started crying, and I couldn’t hold it and cried too. But I quickly wiped my tears and pretended that nothing was wrong. Only Ewen was still sitting there talking *crap* and fooling around. Aaron’s eyes were watery too.

At this time, Sparrow came back, he already wiped his tears, but we could still tell that he cried. He, not just him, but all of us(except Ewen) started to feel very depressed, our mood dropping down to the bottom of the hills. Ewen must be very bored seeing that nobody’s paying attetion to him anymore, so he started mixing the mayonnaise and tomato ketch up in the leftover ice-cream with water. And started eating it (Cai Sheng dared him to finish the whole thing for 50 RMB). And he talked more *nonsense* but he made us laugh. Then Sparrow said he’s very glad that Ewen’s actually here, or else we’ll all be just sitting and crying until it’s time to go. Sparrow asked the ones living in Singapore to write down their addresses so he can find them..

We talked some more, and watched Ewen fooling around for a little while(唉..都不會看時機..只會裝小丑)and then my mom called and reminded me its about time to leave. She wanted me to leave at 9:30, and it’s already nine O’clock..The atmosphere was kinda quiet, because all of us(once again..except Ewen) were sad, and espeicially Sparrow, he kept whispering ”It been 5 years..5 years”..Then we started to take pictues. The waiter helped us take a group photo (The waiter was really bad at it, he took 4 times, yet none of them were nice) So we ended up having Ewen taking it for us, and it was nice. We all took turn to take pictures with Sparrow, and we kept hugging him and wishing him good luck, trying to comfort him.

Then it was time to leave..we went out the shop, and Ewen suggested that we take a picture of only Sparrow standing in front of the shop. No offense..but it was one of the only good suggestions that Ewen had. I took 3 times, yet the pictures all turned out to be very blur..so Bianca said we all take turn to take pictures of Sparrow standing in front of the shop and see which one’s the best. Sparrow gotta be very tired, standing there with the same pose, same smile, waiting for us to take pictures of him as if he’s a model for the shop.

After that, we just cuddled at the railing looking down...we weren’t saying anything..as the time to part..to leave Sparrow was coming closer and closer.

Finally, the time has come, it was 9:45, and we walked with Sparrow out of Metro. We took turn to hug him and wish him good luck and ask him to come and visit us. Sparrow kept smiling in front of us, but I can definitely imagine his feeling, it gotta be very sad, very sad, and still..very sad. And that’s exactly what I’m feeling too..

After taking another last group photo, I took Bianca’s car home. And Sparrow walked with Ewen, Cai Sheng, to Aaron’s compound and to get cabs.

I couldn’t stop myself from thinking about what happened today, and I will definitely remember today, although I didn’t know Sparrow for a long time, I like him, I like him as a friend. And I wish him all the best, with all my heart, and all my best regards that he will succeed, and everything will be smooth and perfect for him. As we all love him, and will definitely miss him...
