桃園旅展登場 鄭文燦站台拚觀光
【記者謝政儒桃園報導】2018桃園巨蛋旅遊展12月07日10日於桃園巨蛋體育場強勢登場。此次120間廠商、近300格攤位，創下歷年紀錄。除了旅遊展覽外，今年亦結合台灣美食暨伴手禮專區，全台各地美食、伴手禮與人氣團購商品皆推出破盤促銷價。
桃園市長鄭文燦表示，今日活動結合旅展及美食展，提供消費者包括渡假村、飯店、民宿及國內外旅遊等各種選項，各家餐飲業者也推出各種年菜組合，滿足大家的味蕾。市府將研議每年至少舉辦2次旅展，讓市民朋友到各地旅遊有更多參考。
觀旅局長楊勝評表示，「2018桃園巨蛋旅遊展暨美食伴手禮展」由民間公司主辦，於12月7日至12月10日隆重展開，邀請約120家廠商推出包括國內外旅遊行程、飯店民宿、餐券、旅遊用品等相關優惠，並設立台灣美食暨伴手禮專區，展出各地美食、伴手禮與人氣團購商品。現場也舉辦如1200個限量福袋免費送、10萬購物金預約抽、預約送旅行收納包、消費滿額抽五星住宿券等多項精彩活動，滿足消費者整年度吃、喝、玩、樂的各項需求。(自立晚報20181210)
瑞穗三民雙軌化 助台鐵班次調度
【台灣醒報記者藍苡瑄台北報導】花東搭車總是一票難求，現在交通部進行花東雙軌計畫，能增加花東線鐵路的容量，緩解旅客需求。「去年西正線已先通車，這次東正線也完成了，花蓮縣瑞穗至三民站這條線以後變成雙向區間，對台鐵局的運轉調度具有很大的彈性。」鐵路改建工程局副局長伍勝園15日表示，林榮車站也將配合鐵路電氣化，交通部預定24日、25日啟用前進行履勘。
花東線鐵路電氣化最後一哩的瑞穗至三民間9.25公里路段雙軌路段，分兩階段啟用，第一階段已於去年9月25至26日完成西正線啟用，第二階段東正線部份，工程也已完成，正進行各項檢查作業。「花東鐵路電氣化從花蓮到台東，我們將單軌變雙軌，對鐵路行車影響有幫助，」鐵路改建工程局副局長伍勝園表示，現在東正線將進行履勘，等之後花東鐵路雙軌的5個瓶頸路段完成後，雙軌比例提升至27%，具減少列車交會待避及提升局部路線容量之效益。
林榮車站位於花蓮縣壽豐鄉及鳳林鎮交界，是花東鐵路的首座地下車站，採自然排煙通風，有八座圓形天窗，能達到節能減碳。林榮車站分兩階段，第一階段施作地下月台層以及主體結構，第二階段座月台裝修以及一些機電裝修。
「林榮車站結合當地風景區串聯，是花東鐵路首座地下車站，由民間出資。」東部工程處副處長許健宏表示，民國71年廢站後，因應花東鐵路電氣化時地方陳情而復站，新光兆豐農場捐贈車站工程經費3.15億與無償提供土地，經新光兆豐出資、台鐵局營運、鐵工局興建之三方協議書簽訂後，於107年1月24日完成，並與瑞穗至三民間的東正線第二階段合併進行檢查，交通部預計24日、25日啟用前履勘。
