    大陸媒體則披露，這700噸的氰化鈉來自河北省元氏縣的河北誠信有限責任公司。其辦公室主任王建方在受訪時確認，大約一周前，有約700噸氰化鈉陸續運往天津港瑞海公司倉庫報關出口。

      對於天津大爆炸現場存有氰化物，中共北京軍區參謀長史魯澤昨日證實，目前在兩個位置發現氰化鈉，至於具體位置不便透露。總量有上百噸。他透露，對已炸開外露的將及時清理，用化學品中和；對大面積分散的將採取分圍方法，砌牆圍起來；對成桶未損壞的將其及時清運，撤離現場。

      天津大爆炸第6場新聞發布會昨上午10點舉行。天津市環保局總工程師包景嶺指出，17個環境空氣監測站中，僅位於東疆港的5號和6號兩個監測點位，氰化鈉累計出現2次超標，分別超出大氣汙染綜合排放標準0.04及0.5倍。

      不過，英國廣播公司（BBC）引述英國化學危害和呼吸道防護專家伊恩?湯姆森的話指出，前往爆炸現場最好攜戴能隔離化學物質的全罩式面罩，「普通醫用口罩無法起保護作用」，民眾最好撤離至3公里外安全區。大陸第二軍醫大學教授孫學軍也稱，既然已檢測到超標，說明附近環境對人體有害。

      • 至於空氣中氰化物濃度是否超標，史魯澤稱，截至16日上午8時，距災區2公里之外測到的有害氣體還有2種，但濃度遠低於國家標準，「我可以很負責任地告訴大家，不會對人員產生二次傷害」。至於救援人員穿防護衣，只是「工作程序需要」，不用穿也可以。
